Our bees fly freely over the fields, gardens and nature reserves of Bridgend. We do not choose which flowers they visit, hence we describe our honey as 'mixed floral'.

Honey, whilst high in natural sugars, is completely fat-free. Thus it is a healthy source of energy. It is long lasting, indeed the very density of sugars means that preservatives are not required.

Our traditional beeswax polish is the best way to care for your wooden furniture. Whilst it is a little harder to apply than our cream or (if you really must) commercial silicone sprays, as well as a deep shine you will be left with a natural scent that you may remember from days gone by. True beeswax polish is the only product that can be recommended for antique furniture. Our cream is also contains beeswax and is less work in the modern world.

You can also purchase candles, or beeswax to make your own.

The associaton serves the interests of beekeepers in the Bridgend area and promotes the production of quality hive products through education, practical demonstrations and the regular exchange of views and information on beekeeping.

The association maintain their own apiary and have a full programme of events taking place throughout the year.

While the animals bred and reared by Charles and Gill Morgan and their son Richard produced excellent meat, it wasn't until the advent of the farmers' market movement seven years ago that they began selling their produce direct to the consumer.

Today they sell their own reared lamb, beef and pork direct from the farm as well as farmers' markets. All the meat is naturally reared, the lambs remain on the field throughout the year, they are fed on grass and hay in the winter months. The cattle are housed indoors from October to April, fed on silage and are on the fields grazing throughout the summer months. Animal welfare is uppermost in the business as well as great care for the environment. The whole farm is entered into the environmental scheme "Tir Gofal" which pays great attention to safeguarding the environment and protecting wildlife. Tir Gofal means literally 'Land Care' and as such is the first scheme in Wales and indeed in Europe, aimed at protecting whole farm conservation and management.

The family has won environmental awards for their work and in 2004/05 won a True Taste Award in the Producer Category for their own reared lamb and pork. In 2005/06 they gained a commendation for their lamb. Great care and attention is paid to quality and presentation, packing and freezing facilities have been installed at the farm which enables potential customers to call for produce and see for themselves how the farm is managed. They have won numerous awards for the lamb, beef and pork, with commendations in the True Taste Awards in 2007/08 and 2008/09 and this year a Gold Award for their beef in the Great Taste Awards which covers the UK and Ireland.

All cuts of lamb, beef and pork are available when in season. Some meat is frozen so that customers have a choice of fresh or frozen. A Price List can be obtained by contacting the farm direct.
